The Asha team said in a statement that cashless services will be resumed under the NTR medical service and that discussions with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in an emergency meeting have yielded results. Network hospitals have stopped medical services due to the outstanding bills of thousands of crores. With this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has declared an emergency. Amidst his busy schedule, Chandrababu held an emergency meeting with the Asha executive on Monday.

Chandrababu Naidu approves release of Rs 500 crore

The state's financial situation is critical, but respecting the role of hospitals in providing medical services to the poor, Chandrababu approved the immediate release of Rs. 500 crore as part of the payment of pending dues under the NTR medical service. Chandrababu assured that the government would give priority to the payment of the remaining pending dues and that another meeting would be held soon to discuss other issues related to the NTR medical service, the ASHA said.
