BRS Public Meeting: BRS to the High Court on meeting permissions

A controversy has erupted in Telangana over permissions for public meetings . The BRS party has approached the High Court over the police denial of permission for its Silver Jubilee meeting to be held in Elkathurthi on the 27th of this month . The petition states that the meeting is being organized to mark the 25th anniversary of the founding of their party and that this is a violation of democratic rights.

BRS requested permission

The BRS argued that despite seeking prior permission as the meeting was to be attended by a large number of party workers and fans, they needed court intervention due to lack of cooperation from the police. It made it clear in the High Court that there would be no disturbance of law and order in connection with the meeting and that permission should be granted.
