Ferguson bowling

Chennai got off to a good start. Openers Rachin Ravindra (36) and Devon Conway scored runs against the Punjab bowling. Conway was especially aggressive. Maxwell dismissed Rachin and broke the 61-run partnership for the first wicket. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (1) came and went. Ruturaj Shashank Singh, who was trying to play a drive off Ferguson's bowling, was caught. Shivam Dubey (42 off 27 balls, 3 fours, 2 sixes), who came to the crease later, impressed with his innings. On the other hand, Dubey's aggression added to Conway's strength, and the target was gradually reduced. As part of captain Iyer 's efforts to break them up , Dube was clean bowled by Ferguson's slow ball. Conway retired and Dhoni (27 off 12 balls, four, 3 sixes) shone in the end. Chennai needed 28 runs to win in the last over bowled by Yash Thakur, but only 9 runs came with Dhoni's wicket.
