KTR: KTR participated in Hanuman Puja program
Not personal beliefs.. but people's beliefs are the basis of politics..!
These days, politics is not about personal beliefs. As a politician, it has become imperative to respect the beliefs and sentiments of the society. While believing or not believing in God is a personal matter, it has now become indispensable for public life and politics. This is the latestBRS Working President KTR Rajanna organized in Sircilla districtIt is clearly visible in the context of spiritual activities. Hanuman's participation in almsgiving with devotees who have taken initiation and sharing meals with them has led to new discussions in politics.
Opposition parties are alleging that there is a political foundation behind KTR's invitation to Hanuman Deeksha devotees and organizing the program. The Bharatiya Janata Party has used this as an opportunity. It has started trolling KTR on social media . Recalling his previous comments that the slogan Jai Shri Ram does not fill the stomach, it is making memes and widely spreading them asking how children should believe in Jai Shri Ram. Analysts are seeing this as not just a dispute over personal beliefs, but a key direction related to Hindutva politics.

Leaders surrounding Hanuman devotees
Hanuman devotees are very popular in the northern parts of Telangana. Seeing the presence of Hanuman deekshapars in every village and the large number of people who wear garlands as a devotion, every political party is trying to attract this community. Leaders like Bandi Sanjay and Dharmapuri Aravind on behalf of BJP are using this Hindutva platform strongly. Although BRS had a strong lead in this region in the past, BJP has emerged as the upper hand in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In these circumstances, KTR's participation in the Hanuman Deekshapara program has drawn many political comments. There is an opinion that he considered it his responsibility as a political leader to understand the belief in God among the people and respect those sentiments. But is this a change of opinion on his part? Or is it a strategy to divert public opinion? Questions are being raised as to whether this is a change of heart on his part.
Will future politics shift towards Hindutva?
At a time when Hindutva politics is already on the rise across the country, a debate is going on within the BRS party whether to move forward on the same path in Telangana as well. Are the slogans Jai Shri Ram and Jai Hanuman necessary to stay close to the people? Or are they against true democratic values? The days are near when people will clearly understand the difference between these issues. Even though there are no elections at present, the political situation is changing around belief in God. This is a sign of active efforts with emotions in politics.
