Miyapur: Lorry accident at metro station..constable dies
Miyapur: A lorry created havoc at Miyapur Metro Station. The lorry ran over three traffic constables who were on duty. As a resultOne person died and two others were seriously injured.Constables Simhachalam, Rajavardhan and Vijender of Miyapur Traffic Police Station were on duty at Metro Station Pillar No. 600 at 11 pm on Monday. They were controlling no-entry vehicles. At the same time, a lorry unloading rice bags in Bharat Nagar, Kukatpally.. came towards Miyapur at high speed and hit the traffic booth. As a result, it fell on the staff on duty there.

Accidents are caused by negligence and excessive speed.
Home Guard Simhachalam suffered a serious head injury, while Rajavardhan suffered a fractured right arm and shoulder. Vijender sustained minor injuries. The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Madinaguda for treatment. The Traffic CI said that Simhachalam died while undergoing treatment. The other two are said to be undergoing treatment for injuries. The lorry driver has been identified as Srinivas from Sadashivapet. He said that the accident occurred due to negligence and excessive speed. The deceased was said to be from Aamdalavalasa in Srikakulam district. At present, doctors said that their health condition is stable. The lorry driver who caused the accident has absconded. The Miyapur police, which has registered a case, has taken up the investigation.
