The central government is doing injustice to Telangana: MLC Kodandaram.

Hyderabad: Discussions between Telangana and AP regarding Krishna waters... MLC Kodandaram responded to the central government's stance on the issue. Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad on Friday, he stated that water distribution was one of the root causes of the Telangana movement. He lashed out, saying that the central government had cheated Telangana by not providing the rightful share of water. BRS leaders, despite being in power for the past ten years, have remained silent on the Krishna water dispute.

He termed it laughable that now, after coming into opposition, they claim they will fight. He expressed anger, saying that the current situation arose because of their silence over the past ten years. He emphasized that Congress should fulfill the promises made to the public during the past elections and that TJPS would firmly stand against them. Kodandaram informed the media that Congress had sought the support of TJPS in the current MLC elections in Telangana.

Meanwhile, Telangana's Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy recently filed a complaint with the Krishna River Management Board, accusing the Andhra Pradesh government of illegally diverting Krishna waters. In this context, a meeting of the board was scheduled for today afternoon under the chairmanship of KRMB Chairman Atul Jain. However, unexpectedly, the Special Chief Secretary of the AP Water Resources Department sent a letter to KRMB requesting to postpone the meeting.
